Together with our partner Carib&Tim we conducted a total of five researches on Saba, Sint Eustatius and Bonaire for the communication department of the Rijksdienst Caribisch Nederland (RCN).
In 2019, we conducted two quantitative researches for the local elections, the elections for the electoral colleges and the elections for the European Parliament.
The year before that, in 2018, we conducted a qualitative research into the effects of the information campaign for the Referendum WIV 2018 in the Caribbean Netherlands. That year we also conducted the Media Research Caribbean Netherlands 2018. With the results from this research RCN was able to get an in depth overview of the media channels used by citizens of Saba, Sint Eustatius and Bonaire. This helps them in reaching more people and reaching them more effectively.
Back in 2017 we also conducted a qualitative research into the effects of the information campaign Dutch Parliamentary Elections 2017
For each island and for the three islands in total, the researchers investigated whether the desired result was achieved with the information that was spread via various media channels by the communication department from RCN. A distinction had to be made between the voters of Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba. The final research reports were offered to the Second Chamber by the minister of Internal Affairs and Kingdom Relations (minister van binnenlandse zaken en koninkrijksrelaties).
